The hotel offers 17 double rooms, one of which is specially equipped for guests with disabilities and four rooms are large enough to comfortably accommodate families. In addition, sleeping bag accommodation is available in seven rooms located in a separate building. In the summer of 2011 the hotel will start to operate from May 15th.
Food is served at the hotel and the focus remains on simple home-style cooking and fresh products from the area, such as lamb from local farmers, trout and salmon from the local fish farming and vegetables from the countryside.
At the hotel, fishing permits to a nearby popular trout-river can be bought.

Location
Skúlagarður country hotel is situated in Kelduhverfi, Norhteast-Icleand, about 30-40 minutes drive from Húsavík. It is close to many of Iceland’s most beautiful places such as Ásbyrgi national park and Dettifoss waterfall. Popular bird watching sites are in the vicinity.

Service
Lundur is the perfect place for gatherings of large groups as it offers an assembly room that seats up to 150 people. The innkeepers can take care of food and drink upon request.
In Lundur, accommodation is available in eight rooms with beds and hand basin. Sleeping bag accommodation is in addition offered in classrooms and access to kitchen for groups. The campsite is large and well suited for families with access to restrooms and showers. There is also a swimming pool and a hot pot in Lundur.
The accommodation in Lundur is open from June 1st through August 30th; facilities for larger groups are available from June 10th through August 15th.

Location
Lundur is located in Öxarfjörður fjord close to many Icelandic natural wonders. The drive to the national park Ásbyrgi takes only five minutes and in addition Lundur is not far from other beautiful places such as the famous waterfall Dettifoss, Rauðinúpur (a gannet colony) and Hraunhafnartangi lighthouse. The villages Kópasker, Raufarhöfn and Þórshöfn are close by.
